All the buttons don't work when I click on them?

Yes, as long as they are not sold separately or recompiled to form a
compilation for sale and not used as a logo or trademark, they are royalty free and
copyright is granted to use our clipart for commercial and personal purposes.

There are pictures in some folders but not in others?
Green folders represent folders that have graphics directly in them and
only need to be clicked once. Blue folders on the other hand, represent more
green folders inside that folder and therefore need to be double clicked.

Can't Create Auto-Redraw Image?
This is caused by expanded memory settings. Windows likes Extended Memory.

If your config.sys file has a line similar to this:
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE RAM

You'll need to change the RAM setting to NOEMS
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS

Make sure you are running Windows in 386 Enhanced Mode.
Check this with Control Panel.

Path/File Access Error?
This is caused by running the game after copying it from a CD-ROM.

The files on the CD-ROM are Read-Only, therefore, the game cannot write to the high score file at the end of a game.

Select all of the game files in File Manager or Explorer.
Select File..., then Properties..., uncheck Read-Only.

What's a Small Font Driver, and why do I need one?
Small font drivers display a screen resolution of 96 DPI (dots per inch). This is the standard for PCs.

Large Font drivers were created by video companies to allow people to use higher resolutions, while still being able to read text.

Under Windows 95, you can change the size of screen fonts, without changing the screen DPI. Do so by right clicking the desktop, and selecting Properties.

If you are using large fonts, because you can't read text on screen, and should look into a better, higher quality monitor, a better video card or better lighting conditions.

Parts of the screen appear to be missing or cropped off?

To fix this problem you will need to change the screen resolution to 640 x 480 or use "Small Fonts" instead of "Large Fonts" with the current screen resolution.

HOW TO - Windows 95/98/NT:

  1. Click on to the "Start" button
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Choose "Control Panel"
  4. Find and double click on to the "Display" icon

Under the "Font" section, choose "Small Fonts" and reboot if required.

Installation problems in general
As a general rule make sure that all programs that are running in the current Windows session are all closed, this includes any programs running in the background, such as Virus scan, etc. Then un-install the program (If possible – go to "Control Panel" and then "Add/Remove Programs") and re-install the program. This is especially true for any Corel and Typing Instructor set-up problems.

To find out any programs that are running:

  1. press the "Ctrl – Alt – Delete" keys and a "Close Programs" window will appear with a listing of programs currently running.
  2. The only programs Windows need are "explorer" and "systray".
  3. Close all other programs then restart the install procedures.
  4. To close the program select that program in the "Close Programs" window then clicks on to the "End Task" button

"Unexpected error" screen keeps appearing
You will need to download the patch file "patch002.exe". Once downloaded, run the file by double clicking on "patch002.exe"...
